Steps:
- Wash the rice and dry-roast for several minutes in a stainless steel frying pan over low heat.
- Stir gently with a wooden spoon to prevent burning.
- Place roasted rice in a pot.
- Add the water and salt. Cover
- Bring to a boil, lower the heat, and cook for about an hour, or until all the water has been absorbed.
- Serve
Note: A flame diffuser under the pot will help even the temperature as the rice cooks.
