Savory Brown Rice

Serves 4

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup brown rice

  • 2 cups water

  • Pinch of sea salt

Steps:
  1. Wash the rice and dry-roast for several minutes in a stainless steel frying pan over low heat.
  2. Stir gently with a wooden spoon to prevent burning.
  3. Place roasted rice in a pot.
  4. Add the water and salt. Cover
  5. Bring to a boil, lower the heat, and cook for about an hour, or until all the water has been absorbed.
  6. Serve

 Note: A flame diffuser under the pot will help even the temperature as the rice cooks.
